The Pulse of Humanitarian Coordination
The Pulse of Humanitarian Coordination is informed by the Annual Coordination Mapping process. It provides the most comprehensive global overview of how humanitarian coordination structures function across humanitarian operations each year. It examines the configuration and performance of Clusters, Humanitarian Country Teams, Inter‑Cluster Coordination Groups, subnational coordination mechanisms and mechanisms outside the formal system, offering a system-wide snapshot of who participates, how leadership is shared, and where capacity gaps persist. By capturing trends in coordination architecture, partner engagement, including the role of local and national actors, and the availability of key capacities such as cluster coordination and information management, the mapping serves as a central reference for understanding how the humanitarian system is organised and evolving across crises worldwide.
