Standard CODs
Standard CODs are those that are not Enhanced. These include older COD-AB datasets, older COD-PS datasets (not contributed by UNFPA), and all COD-CS datasets.
Standard CODs are identified in HDX dataset views and on their HDX dataset pages with a “COD” icon.
...
The information in this section is also broadly applicable to Edge-matched administrative boundary dataset (COD-EM) CODs. |
COD-AB (and COD-EM) datasets are categorized as ‘standard’ and ‘enhanced’ CODs.
There is an analogous categorization for Population Statistics Common Operational Datasets (COD-PS).
Enhanced CODs
Enhanced CODs have undergone improved development and quality control. Enhanced COD-AB and COD-EM datasets have been geometry and attribute quality controlled and prepared to a standardized schema by ITOS. Enhanced COD-PS datasets have been prepared (and therefore quality controlled and standardized) by UNFPA(See COD-AB geoservices for more information about ITOS). Enhanced CODs are identified in HDX datasets views and on their HDX dataset pages with a “COD+” icon.

12-month COD-AB review process
Which of the following applies for each country?
The country administrative structure has changed such that the COD-AB should be updated.
The COD-AB has errors that should be corrected.
New data has been discovered that could improve the COD-AB (such as more accurate boundaries or a deeper administrative level).
