Overview

IMAC is multi-stakeholder initiative including UN and non-UN partners. The purpose of IMAC is to provide remote information management and analysis support to sudden-onset large scale emergencies including:

  • Map and analyze existing secondary and primary data from operations and publicly available sources.

  • Align humanitarian population figures and geographic data (per IASC Common Operational Dataset Guidance)

  • Showcase information and analysis initiatives from any actor at global or regional level to generate opportunities for others to align.

So far, IMAC has been activated twice; during COVID in 25 priority countries (OCHA, UNHCR< WHO) and in Ukraine (OCHA, UNHCR).
