Overview

HPC tools are the information services provided by OCHA which enable the humanitarian community to manage the structured information around the humanitarian program cycle (HPC).

four unique

several platforms:

  1. Response Planning and Monitoring Module (RPM): RPM oversees the creation and monitoring of the strategic framework at both inter-cluster and cluster levels, supporting HRP planning and periodic monitoring throughout the year.

  2. Projects Module (PM): PM streamlines appeal costing enabling project proposals to be submitted for cluster review and inclusion in humanitarian response plans, linking them to RPM’s caseloads and results frameworks.

  3. Humanitarian Action (HA): HA is a comprehensive and dynamic platform for analyzing humanitarian needs, resources, and financial tracking. It offers up-to-date data throughout the year as country teams update their needs analyses and response plans.

  4. Bridge Tools (BT): BTs are analytical tools designed to leverage HPC data and can be customized to suit various contexts.

  5. Financial Tracking Service (FTS): FTS is a centralized hub, which receives humanitarian funding data worldwide, curates, process, update if need be, and finally publishes in a downloadable format with the goal of informing humanitarian decision making.  Governments, UN-administered funds, UN Agencies & Funds & Programmes, NGOs, private sector and other humanitarian actors regularly exchange humanitarian data and information with the FTS. Some of before-mentioned funding may contribute to collectively agreed objectives, activities and projects within coordinated plans while other data may fall outside existing appeals.

FTS, as part of the Humanitarian Program Cycle (HPC) tools, consists of a team based in Türkiye that works closely with stakeholders in the field and HQ to ensure that the funding information is accurate and up to date.

FTS is a voluntary reporting mechanism and all reporters are encouraged to submit information using the  FTS Standard Reporting Template 2024 3.xlsx (live.com) and share it via email to fts@un.org.
